OUR TIME ON EARTH HAS DOUBLED IN 100 YEARS

Mankind's living years on earth are getting longer and longer with each generation, and we are currently wired for a 120 year of earthly stay in our genes. Life expectancy is up from 40 years in Caucasian women in 1890, to an average of 93 years in the early 21st century. This will increase by 25 years every 100 years, with the possibility of reaching the age of 150 years by 2150!

 

THIS IS EXCITING BUT CHALLENGING

Unfortunately, this paints a rather gloomy picture given the general look and condition of the average person reaching 80 years and above today. So many of these people are limited in mobility with a great number being very challenged in mental faculties. On top of this, physical appearance in most of these people leaves a lot to be desired. The urgent challenge facing us is healthy ageing, which will ensure a long good life.

OUR PLANET IS WORSE YET WE BECOME OLDER!?

Increased longevity is a direct result of improved sanitation, hygiene, immunization and modern western medicine. The sad fact is that a longer lifespan does not equal a longer health span or a longer beauty span. Attempts to improve the latter in a preventative way have only seen the light in the last decade with anti-ageing movements springing up sporadically across the globe.

Why these attempts? Inflammation and DNA damage is highly associated with the massive amounts of toxins modern man is facing, which the human body cannot cope with, resulting in increased levels of free radicals and inflammatory damage.
